The TBS-370™ gives you a central register where important training information can be recorded and reviewed. Use it to track information such as: 👤 Employee Information Record the employee's name, role, position, department, or other identifying work information. 🎓 Training Completed Record courses, internal training, toolbox-related instruction, equipment training, or other relevant development activities. 📜 Qualifications & Certifications Maintain a record of applicable qualifications, certifications, cards, or credentials. 📅 Completion Dates Record when training or competency requirements were completed. ⏰ Expiration & Renewal Dates Identify credentials or training requirements that may require renewal or refresher training. 🛠 Competency Record whether an employee has been assessed or considered competent for particular tasks, equipment, or responsibilities under your company's procedures. 🏢 Training Provider Record who delivered or provided the training. 📎 Supporting Records Reference certificates, cards, assessment records, or other supporting documentation maintained elsewhere in your employee records. 🔄 How It Works 1. IDENTIFY Determine the training, qualification, or competency requirement relevant to the employee. 2. RECORD Enter the employee, training, provider, and completion information. 3. VERIFY Record applicable certification, assessment, or competency information. 4. MONITOR Track expiration dates and identify upcoming renewal or refresher requirements. 5. UPDATE Update the register when additional training is completed or competency status changes. 6. MAINTAIN Keep the register as part of your company's workforce and training records. 💼 Why Contractors Need a Training Register Construction companies may need to keep track of numerous training and competency requirements across multiple employees. Without a centralized system, it can be difficult to answer simple questions such as: Who has completed this training? When was it completed? When does the certification expire? Who needs refresher training? Where is the supporting certificate? The TBS-370™ helps provide that visibility. It can help your business: Centralize employee training information Improve workforce organization Identify upcoming renewals Reduce overlooked training records Track qualifications more consistently Support employee development Improve internal recordkeeping Prepare for project or client documentation requests Create a repeatable workforce-management process 🦺 Track the Training Relevant to Your Business Depending on your company and employees, the register could be customized to track training or qualifications relating to areas such as: Company orientation Job-specific training Equipment operation First aid/CPR Fall protection Scaffold-related training Forklift or lift equipment Hazard communication Respiratory protection Silica awareness Supervisor training Manufacturer/product training Trade qualifications Internal competency assessments Continuing education Other company-required training Training requirements vary by employer, employee duties, jurisdiction, project, and type of work. The template does not determine which training is legally required. 🔎 Training Records + Competency Visibility Training and competency are related, but they are not necessarily the same thing. An employee may have completed a course while your company still needs to determine whether additional instruction, supervision, experience, authorization, or competency assessment is appropriate for a particular activity. The TBS-370™ provides a structure for recording both types of information rather than treating a training completion date as automatic proof of competency. ✏️ Fully Editable Microsoft Word Template Customize the TBS-370™ around your workforce and company procedures.
